A Moment in the Life of The Littlest Chocolatier
The Secret Chocolatier: A Family Story
The Secret Chocolatier started in 2008 at local farmers' markets, selling just a few large truffles. We finally opened our first retail store in 2011, just a month before Logan Ciordia was born. As we celebrated our store’s 5th anniversary and Logan’s 5th birthday, we decided to bring these milestones together.
The Littlest Chocolatier
Logan, affectionately known as The Littlest Chocolatier, has been surrounded by food all his life. Whether being carried like a football while his dad packed chocolate boxes or riding in a sling with his mom, Logan was immersed in the world of our small family business from the start. As he grew, he often sat with his Pawpaw (Chef Bill), mimicking him by pretending to stir pots under the table.
As he’s gotten older, his imagination has flourished. Logan often plays games of ‘restaurant,’ where he builds meals for his audience—ranging from stuffed animals to all of us—which we happily sample and discuss. He’s now skilled at picking out real ingredients and suggesting flavor combinations, a young chef in the making!
“Children are great imitators. So give them something great to imitate.”

Making Chocolate Bark
Making chocolate bark is simple yet fun, and we offer monthly classes on how to create your own. Logan isn’t a stranger to playing with chocolate (or sampling it). With his mom’s help, he carefully chose from a variety of ingredients before deciding what would work best for his creation.
Logan’s understanding of how flavors play together continues to impress us. Seeing his creativity in action always brings a smile to our faces.
“I have found the best way to give advice to your children is to find out what they want and then advise them to do it.”
— Harry S. Truman, 33rd President of the United States
Proud Parents, Proud Family
On every level, from business to family, we’ve grown together. It has been a privilege to watch Logan be part of this journey from the start. Where will we go next? Only time will tell!
